Sailor Kakyuu/Princess Kakyuu-hime

Princess Kakyuu in the Anime

Kakyuu lived in peace on her planet, Kinmoku, with her three Guardains; Sailor Star Fighter, Maker, and Healer. Sailor Galaxia came to the planet possesed by evil and destroyed it. Kakyuu fled to Earth in hopes of finding the "Light of Hope" That would change Galaxia back to former self that was good. She hides in an inscence burner. The Princess finally appears before the Sailor Starlights in Episode 193. Then she was killed by Galxia in 195 trying to protect the Starlights  (Her Starseed is taken). After Chaos is defeated in Episode 200, the princess comes back to life (her starseed is returned.) She and the Starlights return home to Kinmoku to rebuild the planet.

Kakyuu in the Manga

The manga version of Kakyuu is somewhat different than that of the Anime version. In The manga, she does live with her lover on Kinmoku along with the Star Senshi. Then evil arrives, Kakyuu's lover is killed, the planet is destroyed and Kakyuu goes to Earth. The only major difference between the Manga and  Anime version is that in the manga, Kakyuu can become Sailor Kakyuu. Also, after the Starlights are killed in the Stars series, Kakyuu tries to fight off the evil, only to be killed, and they are not mentioned again.

Thoughts On Princess Kakyuu

Princess Kakyuu is obviously a very kind person who does not approve of fighting like Sailor Moon.
She is constantly on the minds of the Three Lights, and that is reflected when they are around her.
Kakyuu is also very firm with her senshi, unlike Sailor Moon who allows her senshi to do what they want and ignore what she says. For instance in episode 193, when the Star Senshi are once again confronted with Sailors Uranus and Neptune, Fighter and the other two take a fighting stance and ask if they (the Outers) were going to "mess with their princess." Kakyuu stopped this by telling the Starlights in a very sharp tone to stop it, which they did. Taken aback by her shout, Fighter can only mutter, "But, Princess." Kakyuu tells Usagi that she believes in her, and then walks away, causing her guardians to only follow.
